Built for investors who read the terms
Atlas Crypto Fund Vault exists to bring the operating discipline of conventional fund management to on-chain dollar markets — without borrowing the opacity that came with it.
Why Atlas exists
Digital asset markets produce genuine, structurally sound yield. They have also produced an unusual number of failures, and almost none of those failures were caused by the strategies themselves. They were caused by assets held where they should not have been, valuations nobody could verify, liquidity promises that were never engineered, and risk functions that reported to the people they were meant to constrain.
Atlas is built on the view that these are solved problems. The asset management industry worked out custody segregation, independent valuation, mandate discipline and separated risk oversight over several decades. Applying that architecture to on-chain markets — while using the one genuine advantage those markets offer, real-time verifiability — is the whole proposition.
Operating principles
- Preservation before yield — Where capital preservation and return are in tension, preservation wins.
- Verifiable over disclosed — We publish claims that can be independently checked against on-chain state.
- Independent risk oversight — The function that sets and enforces limits does not report to the function whose returns those limits constrain.
- Complete cost disclosure — Every fee, spread and operating cost is disclosed. Net return is reported after all of them.
- Disclose adverse events — Incidents, breaches and losses are published — including those with no investor impact.
- Educate against ourselves — Academy content teaches investors how to interrogate any manager, including this one.
Governance
Decision-making authority is distributed across separate functions with defined responsibilities.
- Investment committee — Sets strategy allocation within the mandate, approves new strategies and venues, reviews performance attribution.
- Risk function — Defines and enforces exposure limits, runs stress testing, escalates breaches. Independent of portfolio management.
- Operations and custody — Manages signing policy, reconciliation, settlement and custody integrity.
- Valuation and reporting — Strikes net asset value under the documented policy and produces investor reporting.
- Compliance — Investor eligibility, onboarding checks, jurisdictional monitoring and regulatory engagement.
- External auditors — Independent verification of financial statements, contract security and reserve attestations.
